The mind writes the story. The body holds the weight. Somatic coaching is the unlock.
Somatic coaching is not how we make the story go away. It is how the weight stops crushing you. The mental burden and the physical burden come off in a real, grounded way. The story stays. The weight does not.
How the work works.
The process starts where you actually are. Not where a framework says you should be. We meet your nervous system at its current pace and work from there.
Sessions move slowly on purpose. Nothing is forced. The body sets the speed, and we follow it. We notice what shows up. We give it room. We let it move when it is ready.
This is a method, not mysticism. Every technique has a reason. Breathwork to regulate. Somatic stances to ground. Gentle movement to discharge what the nervous system has been holding. Emotional and spiritual self care as the throughline. Acupressure and craniosacral fascial technique are available for in-person sessions in Indiana.
Over time, the work compounds. The nervous system learns it has options. The body stops bracing for a threat that has already passed. The weight comes off.
Why this work is at the center.
If I had to choose one piece of what I do, it would be this one. Not the bodywork. Not the consulting. This.
The disconnect between the mind and the body is the issue of our time. It is at the root of more pain, more conflict, and more sickness than anyone wants to admit. Conflict that will not resolve. Pain that will not respond. Patterns that have outlived every effort to change them. We become masters at managing the stories in our minds. We learn how to function while our bodies give out underneath us. None of this is being present. None of this is actually living.
I did this work for myself first. It was not fast. It was not pretty. My life got harder before it got easier, because I was carrying a lifetime of responses I had never been given the room to put down. And then it got real. Quieter. Truer. Better in ways that did not depend on anyone else's permission.
I have watched somatic work do for clients what no amount of conversation or willpower could touch. Addiction. Complex trauma. The kind of stuckness that has not moved in twenty years. The undoing of stories that were never ours to begin with.
This is the work I am teaching my daughter. This is the work I am building this practice around. When it lands, it does not just help. It frees people. That is not a small claim and I am not afraid to make it.
For the practitioners who refer here.
Most of the referrals into the somatic work come from mental health therapists and trauma-informed social workers. Clinicians who want to give clients a place to put the work between sessions.
The lane is clear. I do not diagnose. I do not treat. I do not freelance. I am grounded, trauma informed, and reality based, and your client is not going to leave a session with a list of contradicting advice.
Coordination of care is something I take seriously and know how to do well. Releases, hand-offs, and communication with your office are handled in a way that honors the client's dignity and worth.
When something surfaces that belongs in your office, it goes back.
Who this work is for.
Everyone. Honestly.
If you have a body and a story, this work has a way in.
How this pairs with the rest of the practice.
Somatic coaching is the connecting tissue. It pairs naturally with bodywork, where the nervous system has hands-on support, and with wellness consulting, where daily habits hold the work in place. Clients working across more than one of these tend to move faster, with less friction, and with more staying power.
This does not mean paying for three separate services. It means somatic technique is woven in wherever it belongs. A hands-on session can shift mid-table into somatic processing when the body asks for it. A consulting client can learn to regulate their own nervous system between meetings. The work gets done. Whatever that looks like for you.
Where sessions happen.
Mobile across Hamilton County and greater Indianapolis. Virtual sessions available in most states.
Hands-on work happens in person. Everything else, including self-administered techniques, breathwork, and the full somatic toolkit, translates well to screen.
Virtual sessions run on Proton Meet with end to end encryption. Most wellness practices do not take privacy this seriously. This one does.
Whether you are a referral source or ready to do the work, the next step is a conversation.
A short call or message first. We make sure this is the right fit before anything gets booked. No surprises, no awkward starts.
